UKRAINIAN CATHOLIC WOMEN'S LEAGUE OF CANADA    U.C.W.L.C. Branch #1 The U.C.W.L.C. is active in the parish of St. George the Great Martyr, operating under two separate branches. Branch #1 of the League concerns itself with care of the church altar and linens, visitation of the sick and elderly,  preparation of parish dinners, organizing special events such as Baba's Bazaar and an Autumn Tea,  catering events and also weekly fund-raising through the sale of Ukrainian foods. The women gather at Lviv Hall and work long, hard, seemingly endless hours preparing holubsti, pyrohy, meat sticks and other delicacies.
