Surprise Visit of St. Nicholas

In 2010, the Feast of St. Nicholas fell on a Sunday. Although the good Saint had already visited the children of the parish at the annual St. Nicholas Concert, which was held on December 12th, children and adults alike were pleasantly surprised when St. Nicholas made a surprise visit after the Sunday Divine Liturgy on December 19th. St. Nicholas spoke to the children, encouraging them to say their prayers and to obey their parents. He then handed out bags of goodies to the children and oranges to all the adults present.
